This is politics. Both sides lie, misquote, stretch the truth, and flip flop on issues if it gets them more votes. Googling (perhaps my favorite verb to say out loud) and factcheck.org bear this out. In the end, I don't think any of the candidates are bad people or harboring ill intentions for the country. They are, in part, people with gigantic egos to which winning the presidency will be a giant boost.
