To me, rss seems like an essential part of a blog and shouldn&amp;#8217;t be a premium feature.  I know it&amp;#8217;s much more fun to roll your own, but take a look at b2evolution.net, it&amp;#8217;s the open source software that runs this blog.  I help out by designing plugins and skins.  I don&amp;#8217;t know if it would work for your needs, but it may give you some ideas.  I know that people are using it for similar sites.&lt;/p&gt;
