Favorite Bible verse

Tonight there was a Bible study at church and we were all telling our favorite Bible verses and then discussing them. Here's mine:

Deuteronomy 23:12-13

Man, that verse is special to me. Ok, here's my real one.

This article at Salon.com introduces us to an often unseen area of presidential campaigning--the candidate's choice of music. Crappy musical taste and crude Missouri references abound. (If you don't have a subscription to Salon, you can get a day pass for free.)

We the Media

You can now read We the Media online for free. There are some remixes out. I'd like to get an audio version or one I can read on my Pocket PC. Let me know if you find either.

This is out of date now that there is a new one, but I love this picture:

Skype is good

Skype works great. The audio quality was better than I expected. The program was very easy to set up. If you've got fast internet, download it and let me know. Brendan and I want to try a conference call before he leaves.

Since Brendan is leaving for China soon we're testing out Skype, the p2p phone program. We'll be able to call China for free. I'm registered as 'dannysaraemma' and he's 'brendoman.' Use the link above if you want to install the program and join the fun. I'll post more once we've actually tested Skype.

Janky

It's time to settle a debate than ran for most of last week. I was using the word janky, and everyone else on the trip insisted that I made up the word. So, here is the definition, courtesy of the Urban Dictionary:

Janky (adjective) inferior quality; held in low social regard; old and dilapidated; refers almost exclusively to inanimate material objects, not to people

I'm not the type who takes relish in being right and proving someone else wrong . . . oh wait, yes I am. That's the point of this whole post. Bufe, Sara, Brendan: I expect to see your written apologies as comments. And make them good apologies, not janky ones. Bam!
