Oh man, Love Liza is at the top of my must see list. We should rent it next time I’m in town! Good list! Oh yeah, and even though I come off as a movie snob, I’m a sucker for Sliding Doors and a few other “smart” romantic comedies.

What an excellent list. John Hannah was very good in Sliding Doors, and delivered decent comic relief in the mindless Mummy movies. I even contend one of the hobbits (the one who pledges allegiance to the king of Gondor in the 3rd movie - please excuse my brain f*rt) was trying to emulate Mr. Hannah’s delivery and looks.

William H. Macy is also very talented. Though I wasn’t fond of Magnolia, he did a tremendous job in Fargo. Rob Siemer believes Macy deserved the best supporting actor Oscar for his role in Fargo instead of Cuba Gooding, Jr. who won for Jerry Maguire that year. Rob’s contention: it is more difficult to play the part of one who emotionally implodes (Macy in Fargo), than one who explodes (Gooding in Maguire). I concur.

P.S. Hoffman is all right, but he sometimes talks weird, and I didn’t like him (or the movie) in the Talented Mr. Ripley.

Steve Zahn also does a great job in the movie “Out of Sight” with Clooney and J-Lo. It’s a good movie, if I remember correctly, and Zahn has a few hilarious moments, though he has a small role.

Topher Grace did an excellent job in Traffic, though some of what he did was vulgar. A commendable acting performance.

Now why can’t you remember their names? Oh, right. Swiper stole your memory and you can’t find the MAP. Spanish translation of previous sentence: “El Swipero el taken memorio es no able to MAPO locato."*

Good list!

-Tim
