&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;m not sure about bloglines but one thing that I enjoy about google reader is the built-in support for podcasts.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I also thought like you did about manually organizing my feeds into categories. I also felt this way about e-mail but but I&amp;#8217;ve grown to manage much more effectively via searching, labels, and starring (though searching is not a built in option for google reader yet). I simply couldn&amp;#8217;t imagine going back to managing all of those things manually.&lt;/p&gt;
